Powertrain and Performance

The DAF CF330 is powered by the PACCAR MX-11 10.8L inline-six engine, delivering 330 hp and a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm available from 900–1,400 rpm. The engine features high-pressure common rail injection (up to 2,500 bar) and a VGT, optimized for strong low-end torque and efficient down-speeding. The typical transmission pairing is the ZF 12-speed AS-Tronic AMT, supporting smooth shifting and maximizing driveline efficiency for regional distribution tasks.

Chassis, Axle, and Configurations

The CF330 is mainly specified as a 6x2 rigid with a 26-tonne GVW, often equipped with a liftable or steering rear axle for enhanced maneuverability and reduced tire wear. The flat, lightweight, high-strength steel chassis allows straightforward integration of various superstructures, including mounting provision for truck-mounted forklifts. The Stabilink rear axle suspension optimizes lateral stability and reduces weight, directly contributing to increased payload capacity. Typical configurations support applications such as box, curtainsider, or municipal bodies, with a focus on efficient regional and national hub distribution.

Cab Variants and Interior

Available cab options include Day, Sleeper, and Space Cab formats. The Space Cab provides a 2.23 m standing height and approximately 900L of storage, making it suitable for multi-day routes. Interior enhancements include the DAF Driver Performance Assistant (DPA), ergonomic seating, and multi-function steering wheel. The HVAC system can be operated from both the dashboard and a rear panel in the sleeper cab version, optimizing driver comfort on extended shifts.
