Powertrain and Emissions

The DAF CF 75.360 (2010–2013) features the PACCAR PR 9.2L inline-six diesel engine, delivering 360 hp and 1,450 Nm from 1,100–1,700 rpm. This unit uses Electronic Unit Pump (EUP) technology, achieving up to 1,800 bar injection pressure, and omits DPF and EGR in favor of stand-alone SCR for Euro 5/EEV compliance. Post-2014, the CF 370 succeeds with the 10.8L MX-11 engine, built with compact graphite iron (CGI), DOHC, and common rail injection, offering increased displacement, reduced NVH, and advanced engine braking up to 340 kW. Multi-Torque functionality appears on later models, supplying 1,900 Nm in top gears for downspeeding and optimized fuel economy.

Transmission and Driveline

Manual (ZF Ecosplit 16-speed) and automated (ZF AS Tronic 12-speed) gearboxes were offered on Euro 5 models, with manual options favored in vocational roles and AMT dominating fleet tractors. From 2017, the ZF TraXon 12-speed AMT is standard, providing predictive cruise (PCC) and EcoRoll modes for greater efficiency. Rear axle reductions as low as 2.05:1 facilitate low RPM, high-speed cruising in motorway applications.

Chassis, Suspension, and Configurations

The CF 75.360 supports a wide matrix of chassis: FT (4x2 tractor), FA (4x2 rigid), FAR (6x2 rigid single tag), FAS (6x2 rigid dual tag), FAG (6x2 steered pusher), FAT (6x4). Rear air suspension (ECAS 8-bag) is standard on distribution models, while steel parabolic springs are reserved for heavy-duty construction variants. The flat top chassis design simplifies body integration. Euro 6 chassis updates include a widened Y-frame and larger radiators, enhancing cooling for EGR-equipped engines.

Cabin, Technology, and Options

CF cabs are available in Day, Sleeper, and Space Cab formats. Interior updates on Euro 6 units include an integrated Driver Performance Assistant and improved ergonomics with a lower entry step. “Silent Mode” is available for urban operations, capping noise at 71 dB(A) for night-time deliveries. The factory “DAF Connect” fleet telematics suite provides real-time vehicle monitoring, and urban-focused models feature a steered pusher axle to optimize maneuverability in tight city environments.
