Engine and Driveline

The DAF XF 510 features the PACCAR MX-13 12.9L inline-six, constructed with Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI) for strength and weight efficiency. The Euro 5 version (XF 105.510) produces 510 hp and 2,500 Nm, offering a broad, flat torque band between 1,000–1,410 rpm. The Euro 6 XF 510 introduced high-pressure common rail injection (up to 2,500 bar) and a VGT, supporting stringent emission standards. “Pure Excellence” (2017+) models adopted a Multi-Torque strategy, providing up to 530 hp and 2,700 Nm in top gear from 900 rpm, paired with improved thermal management and an enhanced MX Engine Brake.
