Engine Specifications

Volvo FH 540 is equipped with a 12.8L inline-six diesel engine delivering 540 hp and 2600 Nm of torque. Early models (2010–2012) use the D13C540 engine (Euro 5), later ones feature the D13K540 (Euro 6) with Common Rail injection, rear-mounted OHC, low-friction pistons, and advanced engine braking (VEB+ up to 375 kW).

Euro 6 variants include integrated DOC, DPF, SCR with AdBlue, and ASC, reducing NOx emissions by 80%. Fuel efficiency is supported by I-See, a GPS-based predictive cruise control system.

Transmission Options
