Standard models meet Euro 3 by in-cylinder optimization, eliminating DPF and SCR systems. Transmission options include a 16-speed ZF manual gearbox or the 12-speed ZF AS Tronic-based MAN TipMatic AMT. TipMatic delivers fuel-efficient, automated shifting, features offroad and hill-hold modes, and reduces unladen weight by approximately 70 kg compared to the manual setup.
Chassis, Axles, and Suspension
The TGA 26.530 offers 6x2, 6x4, and 6x6 layouts to match operational demands. The 6x2, often with lift or steer axles, prioritizes payload efficiency and urban maneuverability. The 6x4 configuration provides dual-driven rear axles for traction in heavy haulage and offroad use, while the 6x6 AWD variant targets mine, military, or severe off-road roles. Front suspension is typically parabolic leaf (up to 9000 kg), with rear steel or ECAS air options. ECAS supports adjustable ride height and improves comfort for sensitive loads.
Electronic Systems and Braking
The TGA introduced full CAN-bus architecture, integrating EBS across all models for rapid, balanced braking. ASR is standard, with ESP available for proactive stability intervention. Engine braking is supplied by MAN EVB, with optional intarder or retarder for continuous braking on descents.

Cab options include L and LX (2240 mm width, normal or high roof), and the wider XL, XLX, and XXL (2440 mm). XLX and XXL provide full standing height and dual bunks with extensive storage, tailored for long-haul.
